Metropolis: Reflections on the modern city is the largest public exhibition of this nationally significant collection which includes work by major artists from India, China, Europe and the USA. The collection includes spectacular works by the world famous Chinese artist, Miao Xiaochun, the painter Zhang Enli and a major work by Grazia Toderi. Big Bust brand Curvy Kate is calling on Birmingham girls to share some #bodylove this weekend as part of the brand’s UK roadshow. The Debenhams, Birmingham Bullring store will take part in the ‘Body Love’ Roadshow which will see instore competitions, giveaways and complimentary bra fittings. Curvy Kate’s live models from the midlands will also be flaunting their figures in store and giving tips and advice on how to find the right bra.

To help Birmingham dress their curves with confidence, there will also be £200 worth of lingerie up for grabs at the event. With the help of Body Gossip – the UK’s number one Body Confidence campaigners, women who visit the store and tell the team ‘why they love their body’ will be entered into a prize draw. The winner will be announced on Curvy Kate’s Facebook page the following week.

The annual event is a celebration of fresh talent in the Midlands. This years event features 26 emerging designers showcasing collections ranging from ready to wear, haute couture, evening wear and lingerie. Three lucky winners will win a retail unit in the City centre to promote their collections. The raffle, which will benefit Breast Cancer Research has some very desirable prizes including a £500 shopping spree at Harvey Nichols and a night for two at Malmaison.

Material has been generously loaned by Tony Arefin’s family, friends, clients and collaborators.
