Spiced apple juice cocktail

Managed to enjoy a dry January? Good for you – most impressed given we failed on 2 January!

So, why not maintain your impressive health drive by cutting down the booze in February too. We’re making it a bit easier with this spicy little number from the mixologists at Andalusian-inspired tapas bar, Alioli. You’ll need to make a mulled spiced syrup first but it’s well worth the effort.

Ingredients 

For the Mulled Spiced Syrup 

Mix up the following and pop to one side

• 150ml pomegranate juice

• 25ml cinnamon syrup

• 200ml cane sugar syrup

• 25g pomegranate molasses

For the Main Event 

• 50ml Lyre’s dark cane non-alcoholic rum

• 25ml spiced wine syrup

• 15ml lime juice

• 50ml cloudy apple juice

Method

Pour ingredients into a shaker with cubed ice. Shake and double strain into an old-fashioned glass full of ice. Garnish with an orange wedge and two green olives.
