TV show’s creator reveals exciting project at honorary award lunch

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight revealed plans for a ballet version of the hit Birmingham gangster TV show at Birmingham Press Club’s celebrity lunch. The Oscar-nominated screenwriter said Rambert dance company had approached him about the project based on the Shelby crime family. He also told guests he was planning three more series of the drama and lobbying the BBC to film more of the show in his home city. Steven was installed as a Press Club honorary life member at the lunch held at Opus restaurant and sponsored by Digbeth Dining Club.
