Polo Club set to sparkle for Ladies Day 2014
This annual event at the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Southam near Leamington is one of the most prestigious social events on the sporting calendar and sees women from across the West Midlands don their finery for the occasion. As well as polo tournaments and exhibition matches there are fashion shows and attractions throughout the day.
‘Quintessential Milliner’ Victoria Grant will be on hand to demonstrate how to wear this season’s latest trends while Chanel are sponsoring a prize for the most fabulous hat. There’s also flower arranging demonstrations by Chelsea Flower Show’s Florist of the Year Sarah Horne and an insight into the world of champagne by Virginie Tattinger, heiress of the famous French Tattinger dynasty.
And finally a rare pink diamond valued at more than £13,000 will be the focal point of the charity auction hosted by TV personality Will Farmer from BBC’s Antiques Roadshow with all proceeds going to Birmingham-based charity Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
Corporate tickets cost just £60 and include a three-course Sunday lunch and VIP access to the clubhouse with a goody bag featuring gifts from Bentley Birmingham, Tustains Jewellers and Clements & Church. There are also afternoon tea packages available from £40 which include a champagne tea in the pavilion overlooking the polo fields.
