Double for BBC man headlines winners’ roll at annual awards

Canalside, the events venue in the Cube, hosted the Midlands Media Awards. The Burton Mail was named newspaper of the year, while for the second year running Jonathan Gibson of BBC Inside Out West Midlands won the television journalist and story of the year categories. The president’s award went to Mike Lockley of the Sunday Mercury, who was also named weekly news reporter of the year.
