Old rivals battle on the fairway

Honours are even as annual golf match marks its 14th year at Edgbaston Club

The annual match between the Old Hallfieldian Society and West House Old Boys was played for the 14th year at Edgbaston Golf Club. Some fine golf featured in a competitive but good-natured atmosphere followed by dinner and presentation silverware and prizes. The honours on the day were shared and the result was especially pleasing for the OHS who have now held the trophy for three years in a row and have nudged ahead of West House by one win since the matches’ inauguration. Simon Venner (OHS) won nearest the pin while Harry Bowler(OHS) won longest drive.
