IAB celebrates Vaisakhi

More than 200 guests come together for glittering event at the CSN Centre

The Institute of Asian Businesses celebrated the festival of Vaisakhi at a special event for more than 200 guests. Held at the CSN International Exhibition & Conference Centre, who sponsored the event with Mahirs Experience, those attending included the consuls of both India and Bangladesh and senior local dignitaries. Vaisakhi is important for Sikhs, Buddhists and Hindus for different reasons – for the people of the Punjab region, for example, it marks the start of the harvest festival. Omer Simjee, a partner at law firm Irwin Mitchell, briefed the audience on employment law services for Asian businesses.
