Happy birthday Hyatt

Hotel celebrates 25 years with a blend of the old and the new

The Hyatt Regency Birmingham celebrated its 25th anniversary with a lavish party. After a welcome by Birmingham Council leader Sir Albert Bore and hotel general manager Mario Flanagan, VIP guests enjoyed cocktails, samples of the new Aria’s menu, entertainment by Aston Performing Arts Academy and a trip down memory lane. Sky Sports presenter Gary Newbon recreated a photo he had taken at the hotel’s fifth anniversary in 1995, while Dawn Bagnall from D Designs Cakes made a similar Hyatt-shaped cake as the one she baked 20 years ago. The occasion also saw Frank Fearon receive an award for 25 years of service at the hotel.
