Brummies required at Brindleyplace to beat world record
Brindleyplace will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record in December by gathering more than 600 people to take part in the World’s Longest Christmas Cracker Pulling Chain. Members of the general public, professionals from across the city are required in Oozells Square outside Ikon Gallery on Wednesday 11 December, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
Lydia Ellis, marketing manager at Brindleyplace said: “Christmas is the perfect time to bring people together and it’s always great to see so many people celebrating the festive season in the bars and restaurants at Brindleyplace, but this year we wanted to go one step further and really make it a Christmas to remember by breaking a World Record.
“To help break the World’s Longest Christmas Cracking Pulling Chain, we’re calling on members of the public to come along and get involved. We’ll be providing everyone with a cracker, as well as giving people the chance to win some fantastic prizes on the day, so the only thing left for people to do is register and come along wearing their best Christmas jumpers!”
This free event will be accompanied by a live band playing seasonal songs to help everyone get in the festive mood - and there’s also a chance to win a burger every week for a year courtesy of handmade burger Co
