Birthday dinner marks Air India and Birmingham Airport’s landmark year

Air India and Birmingham Airport held a celebration dinner to mark the airline’s first anniversary of operating from the airport. Local dignitaries were among the guests who heard Air India’s commercial director Pankaj Srivastava announce that the Dreamliner programme would increase from four times weekly to a daily service from the airport with the arrival in service of its eighteenth Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Since starting the service Air India has handled more than 80,000 passengers on 210 flights.
